Elmar Fischer was born in 1968 and graduated from the German School of Journalism. Since 1992 he has been active as a producer, author and director for numerous German broadcasters. In 1995 he founded the production company „hier & jetzt“.
He produced two feature-films. One of them, „KISMET“ by Lars Kraume, will be released in german cinemas in april 2005.
As director he realized music-clips, commercials and documentaries. His films include: Echelon (short, 2001) and The Friend (FREMDER FREUND, 2003) THE FRIEND won four awards in Germany and took part at several International Film Festivals such as Cairo, Rotterdam, Gothenburg, Warsaw, Bangkok, etc.
Tobias Kniebe, 36, was born in Stuttgart, Germany. After graduating from the German School of Journalism in Munich in 1993 he started working for Sueddeutsche Zeitung, Germany’s nationwide liberal newspaper, BR Bavarian Television, SWF Radio, and various magazines. In his journalistic work he specialises in film. At present he is a film critic for Sueddeutsche Zeitung and reporter for NEON magazine, Munich.
His work behind the camera began with documentaries for BR Bavarian Television and led him to write the feature film "The Friend (Fremder Freund)” with director Elmar Fischer. The film, which describes the roots of terrorism and paranoia in the wake of 9/11 in Germany, won Germany’s First Steps Award in June 2003.
He also co-produced two films with Elmar Fischer, Marco Kreutzpainters’ "Rec" and Lars Kraumes’ "Kismet", both in 2000.

Ursula Pfriem, born in 1974, studied economics at the Freie Universität Berlin specializing in management, marketing and law. She took part in a post graduate class in culture and media management at the Hochschule für Musik "Hanns Eisler" and was participant of the TV producer program at the German Film and TV Academy in Berlin (dffb).
After various trainee programs and practical courses at the theatre and a television production companies since 1996 she has been working for numerous German and international feature films, television movies for public and private channels, shorts and commercial clips – first as a production assistant and coordinator, than also as production manager. Furthermore she supported the development, casting, post production, public relations and festival coordination of several projects.
